February Combo Challenge

Finally finished! *Happy dance* 

Seriously now, please do take a look at the pictures down below since they are awesome. Gotta love that cute cat and mantis!

I think it's pretty straight forward how these pictures inspired my drawing but I guess I can over-explain it to the pepz that feel like reading unnecessary text.
The pose of my mantis comes from the first picture and I also thought up the icy cold parts from that one. I was going to draw a helmet as well but I didn't.
Why? Pft, I don't have to explain myself to you sir or madam.  

The colors are partly from the cat picture... well sort of anyway. At least it's somewhat blue, right?
I tried okay! And well... the cat is a bad replica of that cat as well. 

This was a lot of fun too do and I encourage you to do it. It's super neat if you have an artistic block and whatnot. 
And I might have done it all wrong due to me not being able to follow instructions properly. Oh well.

February Combo Challenge - TWO DAYS LEFTAnother month, another art challenge!
I'm bringing back one of our more popular challenge types - a mix and match. This February, you are challenged to draw a character inspired by a random assignment of photos.

Here's how this will work:
Leave a comment on this journal saying you're in. (If you know folks who might love to be in on the challenge, tag them in!)I will reply by giving you three photos to inspire you.
You will sketch six different characters or character scenes inspired by the three photos. Each of these six should be quick and take no more than 5 minutes each. (Feel free to do more than six, if you'd like.)You will pick the one idea you like the best and draw the character design. Post a link to both the concept sketches and the final design in a comment on this journal.
